Rehabilitation centre, Pasohlávky

The diploma thesis deals with the design of a rehabilitation center, which is located in the cadastral area of the village Mušov on the border of the village Pasohlávky. It is a two-storey rehabilitation center with a gym and a partial basement. The thesis deepens the initiative of Thermal Pasohlávky, which plans to build a spa resort in the same section, combining elements of spa care, recreation and sports use. The object fulfills the function of a rehabilitation medical facility. The center is designed for up to 50 patients and is functionally divided into three parts. The first part consists of rehabilitation. We will find here several exercise rooms, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, doctor's office with waiting room and reception. Rehabilitation also includes a gym with access to the terrace and park. On the second floor we can find specialized department of ergotherapy for people with different types of disabilities and second functional part of the bulding designed for staff facilities. It is made up of staffing facilities, dressing rooms, offices and meeting rooms. The third functional part consist from the technical background of the building and is located on the ground floor. The object is designed as a wall system, built from sand-lime bricks km beta Sendvix and insulated with the ETICS thermal insulation made from mineral wool. Horizontal supporting structures are designed as reinforced concrete. The entire building is roofed with a flat roof. Wooden windows and doors are used in the building to fill the holes. Before the building is a parking lot for employees and visitors of the rehabilitation facility. The design respects the principles of barrier-free solutions. The bachelor thesis is elaborated in the form of a project documentation for the execution of the construction.
Use of ergotherapy for Down's syndrome in preschool age

The diploma thesis Use of ergotherapy fro Down's syndrome in preschool age deals with the use of ergotherapy as a tool for the development of fine and gross motor skills in children with Down syndrome in preschool age. The work consists of two parts. The theoretical part defines the issue of Down syndrome, then describes the specifics of the development of a child with an intellectual disability in preschool age, with a focus on the development of fine and gross motor skills, and the last part summarizes the current knowledge about ergotherapy and its use in children with Down syndrome in preschool age. The second part describes the design of an occupational therapy program focused on the development of fine and gross motor skills in children with Down syndrome and then verifies its applicability in practice through action research. Three children wit Down syndrome aged of four to five were involved in the usability testing and their progress in individual fine and gross motor skills was compared. The results of the research show that the proposed program is usable in practice and at the same time give suggestions for its modifications for further use.
Use of ergotherapy in children's home

This bachelor's thesis called "Use ergotherapy in children's home" concerns subtitutional educational care with a special focus on children's home. Its theorecical part point sout specific features, typology and probleme of children who are involved in the substitutional educational care. It describes ergotherapy as a way of working with children placed in the children's home. It also describes how ergotherapy can be used for social skills development of the kids placed in these institutions due to the act number 109/2002. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis contains a suggestion of an ergotherapeutic programme which is focused both on an individul development as well as a group of children placed in the institutions of the substitutional educational care. The ergotherapeutic programme is designed for the communicational and cooperative development as well as establishing social interaction aminy children of the same age. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is creating a concept of an ergotherapeutic programme focused on development of the social skills such as communication, cooperation and establishing social interaction among children in children's homes. Use of Ergotherapy for People with Mental disabilities in Social therapeutic workshop

The bachelor's thesis deals with ergotherapy for people with mental disabilities in social therapeutic workshop. It is focused on mental disability, social therapeutic workshop characterization and above all it shows ergotherapy as one of possible ways of working with people with disability. New skill acquisition in the workshop contributes to the development and preservation of abilities of people with mental disabilities. That also helps to improve their quality of life. The main target of the bachelor thesis is to present a specific therapeutic program for selected clients focuses on development of cognitive functions and fine motor skills. At described cases of two clients with moderate mental disability it was shown how different can be the benefits of ergotherapy treatment. For one client the ergotherapy meant rather meaningful time spending and fine motor skills development and for the other more likely time to learn technological procedures which can be used in the future employment. This concrete case confirmed the necessity of long-term care for mentally disabled clients to have enough time to teach them necessary skills.
